Capakido Privacy Policy

Capakido is a family app made by Dare Lab ("we", "us"). It helps parents and caregivers organize family life and support their children's life skills. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: capakido@gmail.com

1. Who uses Capakido

Capakido accounts are for adults (18 or older). Parents and caregivers create and operate the account. Children do not sign in, create accounts, send messages, or make purchases in the app. A parent may add a child profile so the family can plan activities and track progress together.

2. Information we collect

Account information you give us

• Your name and email address.
• If you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple: your name, email address, and the account identifier that provider shares with us. We do not receive your password for those services, and we do not post anything on your behalf.

Family and child information a parent enters

• Child profile details: first name, age or birth year, and a chosen avatar. We do not ask for a child's photo, and photo uploads are turned off.
• Family plans and records you create, such as events, routines, meals, tasks, lesson and mission progress, and notes.
• Other adults you invite to your family (their email address).

Messages with CapaCoach

• CapaCoach is an AI assistant for parents. It stores the conversation in your family's private record so you can see your history.

Technical information

• Basic device and app information (such as app version, device type, and error logs) needed to keep the service secure and working.

3. How we use information

• To provide the app: your account, family records, plans, and progress.
• To let you sign in and keep your account secure.
• To send account emails, such as sign-up confirmation and family invitations.
• To answer CapaCoach questions with replies that fit your family.
• To fix problems and improve the app.

We do not sell personal information. We do not show advertising to children, and we do not use children's information for advertising or profiling.

4. CapaCoach and AI processing

When a parent asks CapaCoach a question, we send the question and relevant family context to our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate the reply. That context can include a child's first name and age so the reply is personal. We do not send a child's surname, birth date, photo, or the parent's private notes about the child. We ask the provider not to store these requests for its own use. CapaCoach message text is not used for analytics.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Capakido, and only for that purpose:

• Supabase: secure hosting, database, and sign-in.
• OpenAI: generating CapaCoach replies (see section 4).
• Google, Facebook (Meta), and Apple: only if you choose to sign in with them.
• Resend: sending account and invitation emails.
• Apple App Store and Google Play: app distribution and, where offered, subscription billing.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a child or other person.

6. Children's privacy

Capakido is designed to be used by parents, not by children directly. We collect information about a child only when a parent provides it, and only to run the family features the parent uses. A parent can review, change, or delete their child's information at any time in the app, or by emailing us. If you believe a child has given us personal information without a parent, contact us and we will delete it.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account, family, and child records within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

8. Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your family information in the app. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing capakido@gmail.com. To delete your account and data, see: https://app.capakido.com/data-deletion

9. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls so that each family can only see its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
